About Trek Bicycle Store of London

The Entrepreneur & Family Man

Reynold VanHerpe has always been an entrepreneur.  30 years ago, he started a small bicycle store in Thamesville with his mother and father always there to lend a hand.  He later expanded in Chatham and really made a name for himself.   Reynold has been married to Tracey for 19 years and they have three active children who are involved in cycling as well as other sports.

Expansion & Growth

Reynold VanHerpe - Trek Bicycle Store of LondonIn 2002, they relocated their store to London, Ontario.  “London is a great city to raise a family.  There are great opportunities for work, education, entertainment and community events.  We noticed right away that people were more active here.” say the couple.

After more than 12 years in London and 30 years in business, Trek Bicycle Store London continues to thrive by maintaining a fantastic work ethic, family business values and commitment to service.  There are very few family businesses anymore and we feel we are unique and important.  The big box stores lack personal service and a trusting relationship with their customers that comes from shopping at an individual owned business.  We customize the shopping experience for each customer and provide support and expertise for the life of your bicycle.

Each one of the VanHerpe family is involved in some aspect of the family business.  We pride ourselves on our helpful staff that not only sell bikes but are avid riders and know what each customer needs.   With 5,000 square feet of floor space, you can be sure that we have what you are looking for.  We also do a lot of custom orders from children’s bicycles to high-end race bikes, to the coolest cruiser models.

Our objectives are complete when we hear our customers say how much they love their new bike.  We want everyone to enjoy cycling in their own way.
